Good morning to you all and a warm welcome to what is my last Blog Post as a Design Team Member for Pootlers Design Team.
I wish to thank the lovely Sam Hammond Donald, who all her team know as 'Pootles' for giving me the opportunity of sharing my work for the last month.
Sam kindly gave all her team the beautiful Stamp Set called
BUTTERLY BASICS
to work with for the month and to keep.
All the team have produced some amazing makes and as this is week 4, I decided to showcase as much as I could using this beautiful set.
I chose to make a 'Flip Fold Card' for my design along with a lovely matching Envelope.
The card base is made using Pool Party, Whisper White and the gorgeous Designer Series Paper called 'Birthday Bouquet'. Sadly this is retiring at the end of May along with all the other DSP.
I love it so decided to buy another pack just to use for family and friends cards.
The card size is 10" by 5", scored and folded in half then scored and folded back on itself.
My Panel measures 3.5 " by 2.25"
I used almost all of the stamps from the set and stamped using various colours of
Pool Party, Soft Suede, Old Olive, Watermelon Wonder and Crumb Cake
My flower on the main centre panel has been coloured using Watercolour Pencils and blended using Blender Pens. (I love these)
To add some sparkle, the images had a light touch of Clear Wink of Stella
Bermuda Bay Glimmer Paper has been used to cut out the large Butterfly and tiny Butterfly.
A few Pearls complete the design.
To make the matching envelope I used the Envelope Punch Board, adding a piece of DSP and sentiment to the front with another Tiny Butterfly in Glimmer Paper.
I love this card and it will be given to a special person on their birthday.
